Course Description
Learning 3D design is an interactive process. Students learn best when they can explore practical applications of the concepts presented. This STEM course has many activities and exercises that enable students to put design concepts into practice. Students solidify ideas such as artificial heart components, extreme sports equipment, hip replacement parts, robotic arm components, and musical instruments to name a few. Ideas become reality in this course. This course will also prepare students for the FAA Unmanned Aircraft General Small (UAG) exam as well as safe drone operations. Students will begin by building a general awareness and safety of drones through completion of the FAA Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) and progress to mission based flights. Students will have the opportunity to earn their FAA part 107 commercial license.
Instructional Topic Headings
