Alaska schools can participate in the Alaska Presidential Physical Fitness Program
The Rural Health Transformation Grant is providing funding for school districts to implement the Alaska Presidential Physical Fitness Test (APPFT). This funding is designed to support districts and schools to implement a physical fitness program.
Participating districts and schools will receive funding to provide coordination of testing activities and to develop strong programs that encourage healthy physical activity and individual growth. Alaska schools and communities have unique strengths and traditions, so Alaska's program encourages schools to align their efforts with local healthy activities.
